Route Breakdown:
Exit Mumbai via Sion-Panvel Expressway
- Start your journey from Mumbai and head towards Sion-Panvel Expressway.
- Pass through Chembur, Vashi, and CBD Belapur.
Merge with NH66 near Panvel
- After Panvel, follow signs for NH66 (Mumbai–Goa Highway).
- Continue on NH66 heading south toward Pen.
Drive Through Pen and Nagothane
- Keep driving straight on NH66.
- Pass through small towns like Pen, Wadkhal, and Nagothane.
- Enjoy scenic views of the Western Ghats and occasional glimpses of the river.
Reach Kolad
- After Nagothane, continue for about 25 km to reach Kolad.
- Watch for signs for Kolad village and Kundalika Rafting.
- Turn left off NH66 when you see directions to Kolad or Sutarwadi.
To Reach Vanaswara
- After entering Kolad, follow local directions or use Google Maps to get to Sutarwadi Road.
- Turn onto Sutarwadi Road and continue for approximately 2–3 kilometers.
- At the end of the Yeral Road, there is a statue of Shivaji, take the road going down.
- Vanaswara will be on your right at the end of the road, near the Kundalika River.
Tips:
- The highway has been recently done and is very good
- There are quite a few eateries and fuel stations on the way, specially near Karnala.
